What happened in the 2games.com Breach?
DataBreach.com Team · November 30th 2024, 7:00 pm EST
In an unverified 2018 breach of the online game-retail site 2Games.com, attackers siphoned off about 3.4 million records that contained email addresses paired with their passwords in clear text—no hashing, no salt. The combo list first surfaced on a public hacking forum and is now indexed by leak aggregators such as LeakDB, which still tags the incident “unverified” because the company never acknowledged it.
